I couldn't help but notice these two images from the latest October Jcrew catalogs. Both are so similar and yet so different. This is an example how a black tailored jacket can change a look. A pair of torn jeans are softened and prettied by adding a ruffled jacket and white classic shirt. You can go for a sleek through out look by pairing superskinny toothpick jeans with again, a classic white shirt and a tailored black jacket (notice how this look is softened by a pair of flats, so as not to make it overly dressy). My favorite look is the second one: tailored, sharp and structured, and yet paired with flats for a casual comfortable feel. Sooo me!!!!
