This is what I live for!!! The inspiration and people who work behind J.Crew!!! I can't get enough of these amazing "artists" who give us season after season beatiful items to dream about. They come from the TOP schools like Parsons and F.I.T. What inspires them? Fashion and art books, architecture, travel, vintage and color, color, color. Their everyday work life is full of chaos but that's what they love. They are inspired by every day life in NEW YORK, its culture, people and history!!! They design with one question in mind: "Would I be excited to wear this?". These people can't rest until the colection is absolutely SPECIAL and I personally can't rest until it hits my closet!!! Thanks to J.Crew team for their dedication and creativity, inspiration and attention to detail because that's what makes them special!
Check out this J.Crew cardigan with rhinestones that I found in InStyle/April 2009 for Spring Trends. Something to watch out for a new Spring/Summer collection. I love the color, it's very fresh and very spring and rhinestones just add a nice sparkle (no accessories necessary). It is very versatile paired with white matchsticks, capris and skirts. And look how great it goes with metalics!

I was very impressed by this Madison boutique which has a very different decor from its other sister stores. The shop’s almost undetectable brass door—decorated in cursive print spelling out “ten thirty-five Madison”—opens into a modern apartment-like boutique with washed wooden floorboards and antique mirrors. From the moment you walk in it feels that you've entered an upper east side apartment. The garments are more fancy than what you’d find at a typical J. Crew store: cashmere cardigans in all possible colors, short sleeve cashmere crewnecks and v-neck tunics. Walking through the store, shelves on the walls are full of sparkling pearls and bold necklaces neatly tucked inside glass box frames. There are books everywhere by American Pop Artist Andy Warhol and Picasso. Then, as if it couldn't get any better there is an entire back room of shoes!!!
The store has a special promotion going on 25% off all sandals, anything from metallic capri flats to espadrilles, to strappy heel sandals. And you are able to use your Red card for an additional 25% off! It didn't have a lot of tees and other basics, but I am personally getting bored with those anyway. And this is also the only store where I found "oh, so obsessed about" silk pleated ruffle cami (item 13306). I loved the feel of the boutique overall and recommend everyone to visit it at least once for a fabulous experience!
I obsess right now about this fabulous freshwater pearl necklace with black ribbons. The pearls are hand sorted and tie with black ribbons that give this necklace a romantic feel. I pair it with a white ruffled stand up color shirt (Jcrew of coarse) and a cardigan. I feel that it is such a versatile piece to own. Pearls never go out of fashion, always classic, femenine and elegant.
